This is the actual checklist: ER-now signs, poison control numbers, common toxins, your dog’s normal vitals, and what to grab before you leave for the ER.
- ASPCA Animal Poison Control and Pet Poison Helpline numbers.
- Go-to-the-ER-now symptoms, including bloat, breathing trouble, collapse, seizures, pale gums, toxin exposure, trauma, and heatstroke signs.
- Usually-safe-to-call-your-vet-in-the-morning scenarios.
- Common toxin list and the reminder not to induce vomiting unless poison control or a vet tells you to.
- Fill-in fields for temperature, heart rate, breathing, gum check, weight, and nearest 24hr ER vet.
